With over 2,000 displaced students, Principal Ofer Zafrani of ISTS Kiryat Shmona’s Danciger High School and one of his students, Shira, recently shared an inspiring update with our supporters. Zafrani described the unprecedented challenges of leading a high school with 2,000 displaced students for over a year. Two shocking facts emerged: 400 of our students have lost their homes to direct Hezbollah missile strikes, and the high school itself was struck by a missile just days ago.
Despite all this, Principal Zafrani filled us with tremendous hope, exemplifying the kind of inspiring leadership we wish to see not only in Israel but everywhere. Zafrani shows us what true strength and resilience look like, proving that hope can survive even the toughest challenges.
